In the states I know a lot of people are using the ipad with a mifi, a personal wireless device. Some have phones that emit a wifi that the ipad can connect to.

What are the options for the Uk? How can I connect on the move? Can I hook it up to my iPhone?

That's a cool idea. I can hook the
MacBook upto that too can't I although can't really stream movies on that can I? Will nail the allowance

I use MyWi which is an app you can only use on your iPhone if you JB it. MyWi allows you to tether for free basically, so your iPad could use your iPhone's 3G connection (if you have one). Your iPhone essentially becomes a Wifi (or USB/Bluetooth) router.

I'm not a big fan of jailbreaking actually. I pay for all my apps (if they are paid apps at least) through the App Store and I don't have any extra features enabled on my iPhone. I only have it jailbroken for one reason: MyWi. I already pay so much for a data plan on the iPhone.

Can't JB a work phone, and reckon that mifi solves the wireless prob for my MB too.
