Haven’t used Music Magpie in a few years but it seems the process has changed slightly now. Am I right in thinking that the QR code I get emailed to me will print an address label when it’s scanned at the post office as I saw no details on any address to send my phone to them?
Correct you literally only need to package the phone yourself and give it to the post office and they scan the QR code and print the label off.

fully Insured and tracked, I posted mine Wednesday and they delivered it yesterday

I still need to preorder lol. Was ready to do it at 1pm yesterday but just couldn’t decide so have to do it today if I want it next Friday!

What model are you going for? I think some are available every now and then on the Apple Store as I continue to explore this FOMO.
Going for product Red 12 64GB so I know for a fact that it will still be available as maybe not that popular choice for many after all. Going for an upgrade but I’m with virgin mobile and they don’t offer 5G yet...

They will not deliver before the official release date, but, any scheduled for delivery after the release date could come a few days earlier.
My delivery date is the 2/9-11 but I am expecting it to come at the beginning of that date range if not a day or two earlier.

Logged on when the site opened -> site crashed -> eventually ordered -> delivery date 2-9/11 -> order now showing as 'Arrives 9/11' :-(

I'm on 02 but not sure they have any 5G yet ?
They do,

managed to eventually sort it just now on live chat after being passed around 5 different people for some reason.. Not sure why it was so hard for them to just send me a replacement 5G sim and activate 5G on my current policy

they were trying to flog me a new 18 month 5g sim as im on o2 refresh apparently...never going to happen as I already am wanting to leave when my term is up in April.

Still hoping they mess up with this sim and the 5G doesn't work when I get it after they have told me it will do at no extra charge so I can cancel and go back to Three due to them mis-selling...

Given EE are offering the best deals on 24 month contracts only Im thinking about switching to Three. Some good deals inc 5g for £18 p/m.

Im not techie but apparently they have certain bands of 5g which might be better in the short term. Anyone here know more than can shed any light?

Got a 24 month EE 5G sim only deal for £18 p/m with Apple Music included.

5G in the UK uses the mid-range frequencies at the moment, which iPhone can handle. Coverage is limited: you can go to the EE site, put in your postcode and see whether your area is covered.

Was this a new contract sim?

Im on with them now, simply said can you send me a replacement 5g sim out as im getting a new phone, and they're trying to sell me a new 18 month contract

im already on a 12 month sim only which started in April, I just want a replacement sim with 5g at no more than the £20 I already pay 😫

Upgraded 12 month sim only contract. I've gone from £25 for 100GB data Unlimited calls/texts to £20 for 100GB data/unlimited 12 month. Luckily my contract was up next month anyway but they've been pestering me to upgrade for months.

The best they offered me is new contract is £24 unlimited sim deal 5G one swappable.

Well after watching this thread I decided to use EE live chat spent almost 6 hours on live chat today after 7 tries since Wednesday got offered 15 pounds 200gb data unlimited mins text 24 months.(I did barter them for 13 pounds they said NO way the chap on live chat said move to three network for cheap deals.lol)

Ive tried 4 times and they wont offer me anything different. Best is 100gb for £20 which you can get anywhere.

FYI for anyone who is at the end of their sim only contract but is happy with the deal you are on; you don’t have to upgrade or renew. You can just leave it as it is and it’ll just be a month by month rolling bill with no contract involved

EE don’t have 12 month contracts with 5G
