Same thing here with order being confirmed but Apple Pay showing as declined. Bank have now unblocked. Hopefully they will now just re-process the payments and keep place in queue. Anyone found any different?
 
same crap as quite a few other people it seems. ordered via app with apple pay, all ok until minute or two later I get payment declined notification in the wallet app. called bank who lifted the fraud block, now no idea what will happen with my order, cant get through to apple on phone on chat yet :( hoping my orders billing can be retried and I wont lose my early pre-order!

Couldn’t get webpage to load until after 08:10. Loaded on safari on my iPhone before the Mac, had done practice runs on the Mac so was thrown off by the different layouts.

Pressed randomly as quick as I could trying to navigate my way through. Managed to order 64GB black 2-3 weeks using PayPal credit.

Order placed at 08:12
Confirmation email at 08:13

Bit disappointed at no Nov 3rd delivery but 2-3 weeks I can live with, go to NYC on 21st so hopefully no delays

I ordered for pay outright/in-store pickup, Apple Pay, but my credit card website thingy is still not showing a charge and my order status is:

Don’t worry. Previously Apples reservation system didn’t charge you at all. It was only when you collected it you paid.

Last year the reservations were paid before hand but they didn’t charge until it was on its way to the store.

I reserved 2. I was hoping I wouldn’t be charged until I collected but if that changes I’ll cancel one. I don’t want to be paying for 2 up front!
 
Started the process via o2 at 7:52am, its almost an hour later and I'm no closer

If you haven’t already I’d cancel with them. Ordered at 0745 this morning, got told it’s a four week wait, still only showing as three weeks on the website. Managed to get a couple for next Friday through Apple instead
 
Mine said November 3 when I placed the order, I’ve since had an email and looked at the order on the app and it states 2-3 weeks which is annoying but better than I expected before hand.

App didn’t load for me until 08:07.

Interesting , my Email says 3rd November , though app and website has no delivery date. Barclays confirmed payment .

Yes same, can you check if you can edit your order and see what happens when you log in with your Apple ID?
 
Seems Barclaycard have declined lots of these today although I was assured they would be fine...

Yes i get this. Santander texted me to ask if the transactions were legit. I texted back to confirm so hopefully all is ok. I am gonna check with the bank and apple just in case
 
Vodafone website in the UK opened right on time at 08:01 and I placed a preorder for the Silver 256GB which has now been confirmed for delivery on 3rd November. I had to call them to confirm.

Apple Store app was still down when I finished the pre-order process with Vodafone. Then when the Apple Store app finally opened, delivery times had already slipped to 2-3 weeks.

Massive issues with Apple Store app saying 'nothing in bag' or 'error with bag'
 
last option is if CPW call me today and they have a £964 upfront with £20 per month. After the £25 deposit contribution thats £939 up front - total of £1419 over two years. Actually cheaper than sim free + Sim only contract for me
 
Another here with Apple Pay notification.
Rang the bank and says no problem with my card the problem will be at the merchant side.

I wouldn't panic just yet, I'm sure it was just a matter of too many transactions. It will be sorted.
 
Feel for those on 4-5 weeks wait. Glad I prayed to Steve last night and managed to grab one for pick up early Friday morning from the Watford Apple Store.
 
bank declined on Apple Pay as well here... got told theres a limit on Apple Pay and you must enter card details for a transaction as large as this. Its in apples hands now, will they allow us to pay again and keep our existing delivery slot?
 
It would appear most of those pre-ordering so far have pre-ordered with Apple directly, so I thought I'd share my experiences of upgrading with Three.

Honestly, this was the most excruciating upgrade experience. I've got until next September before my contract ends, so had to upgrade via telephone to pay the early upgrade fee. Three released pre-orders at around ~7:50am on their website and a couple of people had Tweeted them to say they'd placed their orders.

I rang a little before 8am and despite calling from my Three mobile, it insisted on me entering my mobile number etc. into the IVR. I selected the option for 'thinking of leaving' rather than 'upgrades' and was told the department was closed and would open at 8am - it was 8:02am.

I called back and finally got entered into a queue - in the meantime, I used another phone and called through and selected the 'upgrade' option - both in a queue. I was answered at around 8:31am on the initial call and in typical fashion got connected through to the agent most pleased with the sound of his own voice.

I explained exactly what I wanted, and no changes to be made to my plan. However, he had me repeat the colour and storage option several times by asking the same question in several ways, and then repeated/mumbled what I was ordering etc. And then the usual whether I was happy with the service, the price plan, the data etc. I know when you're eager to get something, a minute can feel like an age, but I've received the confirmation SMS from Three at 8:43am. In other words, it took 12 minutes to process this upgrade - no haggling, no special promotions/discounts.

I was told by the operator the handset would be delivered on November 10th. When I stated the website was promoting November 3rd and if I could not receive the handset on November 3rd I would cancel, he told me I could look to receive the handset on/before November 10th. I'm not too bothered at this stage, we know the handset stocks are limited. Three use DPD so I shall know on November 2nd through the DPD app. whether I have a package coming.

At the end of the call, the operator told me I would have to listen to a short recording of the T&Cs and it would not process my order until I selected the appropriate option at the end of the message. Sigh. I listened to the recording and there actually wasn't an option and the call is terminated at the end of the recording.
 
I ordered through the app eventually at 8.06 and according to the email should be next Friday. Although I’m expecting it to slip.

My mate was totally screwed over by The app with failures left right and centre and is looking at 2-3 weeks.

The money’s taken from my credit card, will that be refunded or stay taken? I’m hoping it’s a good sign that it should come next Friday!!

Apple have a problem apparently spent 30 minutes on the phone to them, should be able to re-pay later today or tomorrow
 
Has anyone else not got a confirmation email. I can see my iUP reservation for next Saturday in the app, have got the pickup barcode etc but still no confirmation email. Ordered at 08:06.
 
I managed to snag 2 64GB SG for store collection next Friday.

Like everyone here I was trying the app as every year before it’s been super easy. But I guess everyone now knows that trick! So it didn’t load.

Swapped to the online store - by then 256GB was sold out (I would have gone for that if there was stock). When I went to pay on my iPad I did not have Apple Pay set up!

Entered my card details expecting to be told I was too late but it all went through.

I feel that my prediction that there wasn’t much online stock is backed up - by the time I got onto the store at 8:04 all deliveries to home were 4-5 weeks.

No 256GB in store pick up. Only 64GB.

To me it shows they moved stock to stores to create excitement and crowds.

I don’t know if they would have sold out quicker if the Apple store app was working but I feel lucky that it didn’t and I checked the online store.

Blame Macrumors for plastering it all over their front page... Gits.

Just got off the phone with Barclays, they said this has happened across the nation and they have "no ETA when its fixed"

Apparently their servers that support Apple Pay have messed up and all orders have been declined.

I think Apple's systems are just overwhelmed with all the orders so hopefully it'll update soon! My card has been charged so thats a start I assume! Fingers crossed your bank allows the transactions!
