Well apples reply to my reservation issue is a big fat tough luck you have to wait and hope it fixes itself

Same. No idea on the outcome as haven't spoken to apple yet. mad is an understatement

Once you've raised the fraud block, reorder ASAP. You could call Apple and wait on hold for 35 minutes but it seems to be the same either way.

By the time I was able to access the app the orders had already slipped to 2-3 weeks. So I ordered from Argos, which still had 3rd Nov on their website. But the actual order said It won't be delivered until January. Then I placed an order with CPW, as it still said 3rd Nov.

If it changes it looks like I'll have to queue up if I want an iPhone on the 3rd. Does anyone know what time the queues usually start forming at the Belfast Apple store? Would 4am be early enough?

Seems Barclaycard have declined lots of these today although I was assured they would be fine...

I just spoke to Barclaycard, they said that Apple are having huge issues on their end with card payments. I was a minute into the call when she was like “wait...ohhh is this an iPhone sir?”

Guys, even if you have got a later shipping estimate, don't forget that Apple always gives you an overestimate. Your order will most likely ship earlier.

Pretty sure most if not all of us who ordered from Apple direct only have the delivery date quoted in the email confirmation.

Everywhere else (Apple online orders section and app) does not give the delivery date.

I wouldn't worry. I have never known them fail to deliver on the delivery date quoted in your email confirmation.

Bank have confirmed my payment has gone through too :)

Well done those who got their order in for next week! Had 4 devices on the go and my phone was the first to get in at 8.08! 256 silver dispatching in 2-3 weeks! Add another week from that day for it to make it over from China and it will be the end of nov.

All in all it’s exactly what I’d prepared myself for.

Order and plane tracking fun is non launch day orders for the next month!

Same thing here with order being confirmed but Apple Pay showing as declined. Bank have now unblocked. Hopefully they will now just re-process the payments and keep place in queue. Anyone found any different?

Hi Rossy

In the same boat - just got to card unblocked but HSBC said I need to resubmit payment. Need to speak to Apple to see if they can enter it now and honour my original shipping date. Problem is online and chat and all phone lines are unavailable due to high demand

Order confirmation at 8:06 and got 3 November Delivery!! :p:p But when you go on to the Apple Store order page does anyone just get 'order placed' without any delivery date? o_O

Yes same, can you check if you can edit your order and see what happens when you log in with your Apple ID?

My order is the same. Here's info on order status:
  • Order Placed:Your order has been placed.
We’ve received your order and payment information. Though you can’t make changes to your order right now, you’ll be able to when we start preparing your order.
  • Order In Progress:Your order will be available soon.
We have all the information needed to complete your order. As soon as the item is ready, we’ll send you an update and prepare the shipment. You can still make changes to the order at this point.
  • Preparing to Ship:Your order is being prepared for shipment.
We’re completing some final details before we ship your order. As soon as it ships, we’ll email you the delivery information. At this point, you can no longer make changes to the order.
  • Shipped:Your order has shipped.
You can use the "Track Shipment" button to follow your package online. This information will be available within the first 24 hours of shipment.
  • Delivered:Your order was delivered.
The package has been dropped off at the shipping address specified in your order. If you need to return any part of your order, you can initiate the process online.
Once it goes to "in progress" it should show more information and allow you to edit.

can you buy applecare separately - i.e. for phones bought from operators and not through apple stores?

It would appear most of those pre-ordering so far have pre-ordered with Apple directly, so I thought I'd share my experiences of upgrading with Three.

Model: iPhone X
Colour: Space Grey
Storage: 256GB

Network: Three
Handset Charge: £79 (+£4.99 delivery charge)
Contract Terms: £83 pm (30GB + AYCE)
New/Upgrade: Upgrade
Perks/Freebies: None

Order Method: Phone
Confirmed: 8:43am

Estimated Delivery Date: November 3rd - 10th

Honestly, this was the most excruciating upgrade experience. I've got until next September before my contract ends, so had to upgrade via telephone to pay the early upgrade fee. Three released pre-orders at around ~7:50am on their website and a couple of people had Tweeted them to say they'd placed their orders.

I rang a little before 8am and despite calling from my Three mobile, it insisted on me entering my mobile number etc. into the IVR. I selected the option for 'thinking of leaving' rather than 'upgrades' and was told the department was closed and would open at 8am - it was 8:02am.

I called back and finally got entered into a queue - in the meantime, I used another phone and called through and selected the 'upgrade' option - both in a queue. I was answered at around 8:31am on the initial call and in typical fashion got connected through to the agent most pleased with the sound of his own voice.

I explained exactly what I wanted, and no changes to be made to my plan. However, he had me repeat the colour and storage option several times by asking the same question in several ways, and then repeated/mumbled what I was ordering etc. And then the usual whether I was happy with the service, the price plan, the data etc. I know when you're eager to get something, a minute can feel like an age, but I've received the confirmation SMS from Three at 8:43am. In other words, it took 12 minutes to process this upgrade - no haggling, no special promotions/discounts.

I was told by the operator the handset would be delivered on November 10th. When I stated the website was promoting November 3rd and if I could not receive the handset on November 3rd I would cancel, he told me I could look to receive the handset on/before November 10th. I'm not too bothered at this stage, we know the handset stocks are limited. Three use DPD so I shall know on November 2nd through the DPD app. whether I have a package coming.

At the end of the call, the operator told me I would have to listen to a short recording of the T&Cs and it would not process my order until I selected the appropriate option at the end of the message. Sigh. I listened to the recording and there actually wasn't an option and the call is terminated at the end of the recording.

feel your pain

I completed my order with EE online at about 07.59am but wasn't confirmed until 08.06am as I had to ring EE to confirm the details of the order

I'm expecting the phone on launch day but if it's the week after thats managable

my contract

100GB of data
unlimited texts and mins
annual upgrade
£87.99 a month
£39.99 upfront

get some free xbeats headphones worth £130 so thats pretty good

If your payment was declined, clear the block with your bank and reorder ASAP.

If you just wait, Apple will only retry your payment method in 4 hours time and it'll be as if you made the order then in shipping terms (I spent 35 minutes on hold to speak to Apple so you don't have to).

Make the second order and then check the site in a day or so to see what's gone through/to properly cancel the initial order.

Guys mine messed up

Went through with Friday 3rd delivery - got email confirmation but then 5 minutes later got a notification saying Apple Pay transaction declined

The online order has no date for delivery and says order placed.

Has this happend to anyone before?

Yes, However my card supplier says no reason for it. They have had several other calls regarding same thing. Apparently not unusual reading theses forums. Await to hear what apple are doing
