Glad I went with store pickup. I ordered a Watch band that was due to be delivered by UK mail by 13.30 yesterday and it’s still not here.

Guy on phone said hopefully get it on launch day but depends on stock I guess.

The xbeats headphones will come in 14 days after the x arrives

For some reason my apple pay changed my billing address on the order even though it's different in the settings.

Hasn't been rejected yet so hoping I can get them to change it before it goes tits up
 
Apple shuts down the order status page for a few hours after a launch to let everything normalise. It will be back up later today and will switch to 'processing items'.

as long as you got an email I;'m sure thats ok.

the text I got gives me the tracking situation. not sure how else to find it otherwise.
 
Regarding the Apple Pay declines, surely we wouldn't have had order confirmation emails if the card was 'properly' declined?

It's just a glitch, but can you imagine the uproar if we get sent to the back of the queue!
 
If your payment was declined, clear the block with your bank and reorder ASAP.

If you just wait, Apple will only retry your payment method in 4 hours time and it'll be as if you made the order then in shipping terms (I spent 35 minutes on hold to speak to Apple so you don't have to).

Make the second order and then check the site in a day or so to see what's gone through/to properly cancel the initial order.

That sucks now its a 5-6 week wait! :(

It's poor on apple and apple pay if the order ends up cancelled/lost. At the point of sale should have been told there was an issue and I could have used a different card.
 
Just to rub it in (my bank declining and the order going through an hour late with 4-5 weeks after I called them, reorder other similar folks!), I still have the initial email to taunt me:

Chill people - as long as you get an order confirmation, your place in the queue is confirmed. When Apple tries to take payment, it may decline. You then have at least 24 hours to contact Apple to get the payment sorted without it affecting your delivery date.

I ordered a case 20 minutes after the phone using the exact same Apple Pay card and that's approved just fine.
 
Sorry for the late post and this probably already been mentioned, but I’m on the IUP and used the reservation link which actually came up before the pre-order started first time round after I’d selected my model and entered my details, it kicked me up to the home screen. Tried it again second time and it went through perfectly and managed to reserve a 256 GB silver iPhone to pick up at 8 AM next Friday.

The app was garbage for me. Didn’t even come up until 08:10 by which time it was it 2 to 3 weeks.

I really hope you're correct, but Apple customer service told me nope, and the order email is actually a "processing" one, not an actual confirmation.

Yeh - can't emphasise this enough. At this point, you should just wait until everything comes back online before you do anything and wait for the "update payment" option.
 
I find it hard to believe they'd have more stock than Apple.

They still showing now as 3rd November. I'm guessing they going to have a lot of angry people come next week.
Maybe its preference- im guessing many people prefer to buy direct from apple rather than third party - hence why they may still have stock for the 3rd.

It happens to me every year. The status switches to "Awaiting Payment" and then I call up, give them my card details again, and it goes through with the same delivery date.

Anyone else order for in-Store pickup and pay with Apple Pay?

What happened? Has the payment been taken for you?
 
I've pre-ordered the Space Grey 64GB iPhone X but i still haven't received an email to confirm it. When i check my orders on the Apple App it says 'We've received your order'. Do you think it's just a delay for emails or...

Be happy to be proved wrong, but not what the nice Scottish lady from Apple told me on the phone as she said she felt gutted for me.
