Well EE are still showing delivery on the 3rd November - right oh, they did the same for AW S3 right up until the day before release they had delivery as being the day of release.

I take their delivery timescales and pie in the sky

Has anyone had this confirmed by Apple

Currently cant get through to them either by phone or online chat

I can't get through either - trying to get through to iphone sales and am on hold. Really hope they honour my delivery date! This is a shambles - wish I had just used my card as I planned too in the first place!

question - if I have a 2-3 week estimate from Apple, should I keep it even if I can get one next week from either Carphone or Vodafone? I assume with orders being out to 4-5 weeks now I can probably pass it on to someone easily enough?

It happens to me every year. The status switches to "Awaiting Payment" and then I call up, give them my card details again, and it goes through with the same delivery date.

OK cool. Hope its the same this year! Does seem like vast majority of people been impacted by this. And would make no sense for the order to go through in first place if was going to then be a problem!

I'm worried for you guys that if you call, their only option is to cancel and reorder - and that's what they're doing.

If I were you, I would just wait until the website comes back online properly and you can update payment information there - I doubt delivery dates will slip back anymore between now and it comes back online in the next hour or two, so you don't have anything to lose by waiting.

Does anyone know if Apple store UK will let to purchase the X outright instead of Upgrade programme?

i.e either ask to change or get declined and then purchase outright?

I could do this last time with the 7 after checks

weirdly, i just had a call from Apple (+353 (21) 238 0596) to verify my order, they wanted to go through some security checks. A little reluctant they asked for the first line of my address and also my last apple store order, which was easy to answer...

still on delivery for the 3rd Nov!

When do we reckon website will be up properly? Lunchtime?

They told me yesterday at Newcastle store you could do that!

Nope, she popped me on hold for a minute and forced it to retry the payment, but told me that I'll have lost my place in the queue because of it.

bank declined on Apple Pay as well here... got told theres a limit on Apple Pay and you must enter card details for a transaction as large as this. Its in apples hands now, will they allow us to pay again and keep our existing delivery slot?

Bank talking nonsense, unless they impose a limit for some reason. In which case, I would take my business elsewhere!

My email says this:

Payment of your order could not be completed.

To avoid a delay in receiving your order, please update your payment information by signing in to your Order Status page. This will usually resolve the problem. If it doesn't, contact your card provider and let them know you placed an order with Apple.
If after 7 days we're still unable to process your payment, your order will be cancelled.
