Well EE are still showing delivery on the 3rd November - right oh, they did the same for AW S3 right up until the day before release they had delivery as being the day of release.

I take their delivery timescales and pie in the sky
all depends on how much stock they have

what time did you get the order confirmation? mine was via text at 08.06am
 
Similar here. Ordered 08.04 (app loaded first, website wouldn’t load until 08.09 for me), then 08.22 I get an email saying transaction failed... had Nov 3rd delivery too. Have sent Barclaycard a secure message...

I used Barclayard too - the transaction is showing as pending in the account, so I assume it's been approved. Still a bit nervous though until Apple actually take it!

Hope you manage to get it sorted. I've heard that Apple will retry and it should go through once Barclays have removed the hold on the account.

Payment of your order could not be completed.

To avoid a delay in receiving your order, please update your payment information by signing in to your Order Status page. This will usually resolve the problem. If it doesn't, contact your card provider and let them know you placed an order with Apple.
If after 7 days we're still unable to process your payment, your order will be cancelled.
That's exactly what you want to have happened :)

Just wait a couple of hours until you can do that, and you shouldn't lose your place in the queue. :)

When did you get that email? All I have now is the order confirmation from 8.04
 
So I checked wallet after ordering this morning to find the Apple Pay payment had been declined by the bank (Halifax). Had to call apple and get them to charge to my card (the same card linked to apple pay...) to get the bank to accept the purchase.
I had read about similar issues last year but it seems it's still not a great option - worth double checking if you used Apple Pay to pre-order.
 
Hi guys, quick question! I have managed to reserve a 256GB SG for inshore collection on the IUP. If i decide on the day that id rather buy outright rather than on a credit agreement is this possible?

For some reason my apple pay changed my billing address on the order even though it's different in the settings.

Hasn't been rejected yet so hoping I can get them to change it before it goes tits up

I had exactly the same - but managed to change on screen before pressing next. Very strange as I've never shipped to my work address in my life!

Did you speak to apple and they took payment? What number did you use to get through?
 
Is the Mac rumors forum still broken, as it seems like I'm reading duplicate posts or are people just posting the same questions over and overo_O

Spoke to Apple, apparently everything gone through fine although I got that declined message. Suppose I have to wait and see what happens.

The gent told me the servers had a glitch and sent a few declined notifications when they didn't actually get declined.
 
the order was not on the app when I checked, but checking apple.com/orderstatus it appeared there. just off the phone with Apple, they advise they have a serious issue at their end and you cant update/amend the payment details. this should be fixed today at some point and then you should be able to change the payment type or try again.

the Apple guy said that delivery times should not be impacted, we shall see!

Yep, I asked exactly that and they said they could swap between the two without an issue!
So Reservation made online for Upgrade programme (fresh order) go in and just buy it outright (after or prior to credit checking) ?
