I managed to reserve an X for iUP upgrade next Friday but looking at what I owe on my 7 Plus £311 and what it's still worth £400-500 it doesn't seen worth giving it back.

Anyone else in a similar position? I'm thinking I might just sell my iPhone and rejoin iUP

Had the notice on my order page about declined payment (Apple Pay), reissued payment and after a lot of fails iand page refreshes it's gone through.

3rd November delivery date maintained.

I just spoke Apple chat about why my order is not showing as part of my Apple ID.

I was told that if you buy online, and then use iPhone for Apple Pay Touch ID confirmation, it automatically places the order as a guest order, which is what happened to mine. He said there would be an option later on apple.com/orderstatus to link the order to my account if I want to. Most importantly he confirmed the order is looking perfect and authorised and will be delivered on 3/11, so that's great!

Order updated to progressing and now have option to link to Apple ID as apple chat advised

Late report in, iPhone X 256 Silver delivering Nov 3.

Ordered on iPhone 6 with cracked screen 7% battery over 4G signal, at 8:04am, managed also to search DJI and throw in a drone combo, Qi charger. Stress level zero(sort of).

Glad i did call as the there had been an error with the order and so they would have contacted me later about it !

spoke to a nice guy guess i sounded glum as it was 9.45am and the order was only being processed he did promise that i would definately get the phone for next friday 100% and did waive the upfront cost and just got confirmation for it. will see
whether i get it and he seemed to hint that EE had quite abit of stock left to sell for next friday.

I’ve not got a confirmed date for delivery yet on my order page but would think launch day is likely given the time it was confirmed

iOS app & Apple Pay, store didn’t come up initially

I just got an Apple Store app notification telling me there was a problem with my Apple Pay card (which has sufficient funds).

• Clicked on the Apple order webpage link from my order confirmation email, but nothing different showing
• Rang Bank & spoke to Fraud Team who said they'd had hundreds of calls where they'd declined authorisations
• Apple order webpage refreshed & had a dialogue box to reconfirm or enter new payment details
• Clicked on option to use same card, reauthorised successfully, delivery still showing as Friday 3rd & status moved on a stage to 'Order in Progress'

Ive got the same mate. I’ve got the order confirmation from Apple but it’s telling me my apple id isn’t linked to it when i log in on the site

bit of a mess for me, app didn't open until 8:03 ish, then failed right at the end of the reservation for iUP in local store (when you pick the time) I almost launched iPad through window when I tried again and it said 18-30th of Nov.. Went through it anyway and managed to snag 10:30 on the 3rd.. Worried for ages when I didn't get a reservation email but I just found it in my spam..! fingers crossed all is good.

Feel sorry for those that have had their orders cancelled however I am also VERY GLAD I am with with the upgrade programme.

Do the non launch day phones tend to come straight from China? I'm showing 2-3 weeks so I guess a dispatch in 2 weeks might see it in my hands around 15 Nov?

I was quite luckily as managed to get through to them at 08.00am after ordering online. That sucks it took you so long. Must of been a lot of people ringing up

Well I’ve read over on EE community forums if you have to call you keep original place in the queue anyway. He told me that stock levels updated a few minutes ago and they still said Friday delivery

Full amount is pending on our credit card but it is a card we use for daily spending to generate rewards and then pay in full every month. Have just applied and got a fee free 26 month 0% transfer card with Halifax so will transfer the cost of the X to the new card

Was going to do the Barclays finance again but actually this way I can pay it off more quickly and use the excess 'profit' from selling my 7+ to reduce my balance immediately.

I don't think so (I was checking after I ordered and seemed to go straight to 2-3 weeks) and bearing in mind it would be 2-3 weeks from today it is actually 1-2- weeks from 3 Nov.

CPW still have 3/11 dates if anyone wants one.

If you believe them. I wouldn't trust CPW as far as I could throw them.

Ordered through Sky Mobile. I ordered by 8am. No confirmed dates, but it will surely be okay. I'd been hammering cmd + R every 20 seconds previous so must have been one of the first!

Yeh I suspect their systems were limited like the website, so they just didn't see a "Retry payment" option and figured they had to cancel. You would have thought they'd have known though...

What worries me is this:

That is not what my account ends in, is this a general obfuscating thing that Apple do? It's almost as if it's tried to pay through a card that isn't mine... I only have one card set up on Apple Pay.

That is your device id and is linked to the device you used apple pay on.
