Absolutely gutted. Using the app I wasn’t able to secure a 256gb in Silver using the iUP. Only option was grey 64gb. Can’t even order at all using the iUP now until Nov 4th :(

Have you tried reserve in store rather than the actual upgrade link?

What it says for me, updated my details and its been saying updating payment information for the last 10 minutes or so... is it meant to be like that?

Same here mate, first two times it said “Authorisation Failed”, tried a different card... “Authorisation Failed”, tried another card... “Updating........”
Think Apple’s payment servers are getting hammered.... yet every media outlet said nobody wanted a £1k phone!

No joy reserving under the iUP. App didn't start working until about 8:10am. What are my options now? Using the Apple store app, I have the X in my basket (but not yet paid) and it is saying dispatched in 5-6 weeks. I have seen other posts on here that say you can order for home delivery, receive the phone and then take into Apple Store, get a refund and then buy again on the iUP (or in my case I actually want iPhone Payments). Can this definitely be done? If so, does the cost hit your credit card upon placing the order or when you actually receive the phone?

Alternatively, should I just try reserving again on morning of 4th November. Would be happy just to get the phone this side of Christmas but definitely want to spread the cost and not pay upfront.

Man this thread has moved quickly this morning. Tried to catchup. Thankfully my order is secure for the 3rd. No Apple Pay issues on my side but did have to manually link my order into my account as it wasn’t showing up. Now it all looks good.

Commiserations for those less fortunate for one reason or another. Hopefully these dates are on the pessimistic side

So I have 2 different orders on 2 different cards. One I have successfully reauthorised, my bank having unblocked.

The other Natwest will not re-authorise. I am doing whilst on phone to bank and they saying no issues at their end. GGGGGRRRRRRRRR
OOh so actually i just went into my order history and re-authorized payment and now i'm processing items delivery 3rd nov

well im giving them a call to see whats up, called halifax and they said all is fine. Still got two other orders from argos and CPW as backup but would prefer apple to go through as i know they'll deliver next friday

Has anyone’s orders not apperred in the online account. Mine isn’t showing, though I’d manually check for order status it’s asking to link to my account.

Anyone else.

Pre-ordered on EE, got confirmation email at 7:57 but no text message yet with delivery date :( Anyone else have the same problem? Spoke to EE but they just said they don't know how much stock they'll have yet (not sure if I believe them).

Hi guys, newbie to the forums here. Hope everyone did as well as they could this morning.

I got a delivery date of the 3rd, then Apple Pay said my billing address was wrong so I had to start again.

I have ended up with a delivery date of 13th - 20th November which isn't too bad.

There was a slight problem though.

I ended up having to pay on my debit card as there was issue trying on my credit card. I realised what the problem was and put an order through on my credit card but that was 7 minutes later but I have the same delivery date estimate. I'm not sure if I should pay debit card or use the credit card but risk a later delivery date as the order was 7 mins later? Although the estimated delivery dates are the same it’s still 13th - 20th so they could be a week apart due to those 7 mins, are the dates likely to be drastically different does anyone think?

even on my text there's no delivery date confirmed yet even though many say will get in on launch day

I would change the first one's payment details to your credit card and just cancel the other one

Couldn't order until around 8.08am... Thought it might be too late. Ordered one for delivery and it showed 3.11. but once ordered it slipped to 2-3 weeks. Had a quick look for pick up and all models were available for pick up in both Glasgow stores. Opted for Braehead, cause its easier to get there. 9am appt :)

I now need to decide whether to keep the 64GB or 256GB phone.

Oh and I called my Bank and asked them to put in a note that this is a genuine purchase. They couldn't see a transaction yet...

FWIW, I used Apple Pay with a Bank of Scotland Visa Debit and it went through without any issues.

I guess the 2-3 weeks delivery period is because they're obviously making as many as they can and hope to pick up some of the slack over the next while.

according to somebody at EE It seems EE got more stock than any other carrier due to their close relationship with apple with the Apple Watch deal. guess we will see next Friday.

According to someone at EE, they'll tell you what you want to hear to keep your preorder without committing to a guaranteed delivery date, just like other operators ;)

Well it's certainly believable given their close ties. Guess we will see in a week.
