I have just got my 64gb iPad and was wondering if I could charge it using the new iPhone 4 plug? the new plug is much smaller and portable. Anyone?

I've not tried! But good question.

Sort-of related response: I have noticed that my iPad WONT charge from a USB hub I have on my MacPro, although my iPhone4 does. Weird...

The iPad chargers are 10W, and the iPhone/iPod ones are only 5W. So it'll take twice as long with the iPhone/iPod one.

If the iPad charger is 10W is it ok to charge an iPhone with it? Would be a pain to take two chargers when travelling.

Hope so. I've not used my new iPhone 4 charger yet. I just use the iPad one for both !!

The chargers are different but they function the same. They will charge your devices. If you use the iPad charger, you will notice that your iPhone charges faster as the iPad charger is 10W.
