So I'm wondering what the catch is on this deal.

256GB iPhone 8 for £699 which is a saving of £150 and the same price as the iPhone 8 but 64GB.
I went into Apple in Covent Garden in London and the manager said it was a great deal and couldn't believe it had been reduced that much in price. He declined to price match it (within 10%) but told me to go buy it because its a great deal.
It's available only in the gold colour which I don't like but its not necessarily a deal breaker. But it doesn't seem to be pre-owned or have some type of other fault.
Anyone got some insight into this deal?
