Well after speculating and trying to find some cash I have ordered my MacBook Pro. I've gone for the following config but I will get another 1GB RAM at a later date when I have some more cash.

15.4-inch 1.83GHz Intel Core Duo MacBook Pro

15.4-inch TFT display with 1440x900 resolution
1.83GHz Intel Core Duo processor with 2MB shared L2 Cache
667MHz frontside bus
1GB (single SO-DIMM) 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM (PC2-5300)
100GB 5400rpm Serial ATA hard drive
Slot-load SuperDrive (DVD±RW/CD-RW)
ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 with 256MB GDDR3 memory

Only thing is it wont ship till 24 Feb so I will be waiting a whole month. I'm gonna go insane. I did however save myself £300 by ordering via the UK HE store. :p

Just for the record I have some PC bits, a PowerBook and an iPod for sale on this thread.

That's nothing. I found out this week that my department at school (college) is going to start REQUIRING laptops for classes next Fall. I am as giddy as a school girl waiting to place my order for a new MBP, but I can't do it until Fall (Financial Aid is going to help out on the payments, so I can't be ordering just yet). Waiting until Fall may be the death of me.

I'm waiting until March 23, Amazon.com's ship date. It saves me $400, but even with that incentive, I'm rubbish at waiting. Same model, BTW.

Waiting until my trip to New York (March 22nd). Bringing a little laptop case (my iBook 14" thing should just about squeeze around it), and then posting the box separately! Actually, maybe I'll bet DHL to pick it up from my hotel (the box, that is) and let them send it. As long as I have the machine though...and save some money!

I'm busy selling things on ebay to sort out the funding!

What also seems to be interesting is the HE section has it's own stock. My iMac tok 3 days, when the main Apple site said 4-6 weeks, someone I know had to wait 4 weeks for an iMac and we both ordered the same week.

I can tell you right now that there is no way in hell that case will fit a 15.4 in widescreen computer.

Ah well. It gives me an excuse to buy another case!
