With the strong pound (currently 1.86 $ to £)... I would have thought Apple would have adjusted the prices of some of their hardware, i'm sure they did it before.

Even when you add in sales taxes etc, prices seem a bit steep.

Mac Mini £449/£599 = $834/$1112
iMac £929/£1229 = $1,729/$2282
MacBook £749 = $1,391
MacBook Pro £1399 = $2598
iPod £219 = $406

Depends how long it stays high. There have been a few fluctuations over the past year or so based on currency changes.

They put them all up by £10-£30 recently because the trend had started downwards again. The iPods used to be £209 and the iMacs £899.

The thing i dont get about the Apple UK Store is the Black Macbook Price! £1028.99, Surely they could price it at £999?

That's very true....the thing is with Apple's pricing is that its all relative in England we are used to the inflated pricing so a MacBook for £749 seems like good value for money (and it is) but once compared to the US price and the current exchange rate it seems expensive...

Us Brits should stop moaning about this and accept we are going to pay a premium in comparison to what Americans pay....

Hmmm how come these big price cuts haven't been reported by macrumours.... I guess if it doesn't involve the US somehow, it's not news.

You're ignoring this thread which reports the news and these two from last night saying the Euro stores were down and speculating what it might be (correctly ;) )?

Those threads were started by forum users not anyone at macrumours... maybe YOU should check before responding.

Um... nope, that's a MR one although admittedly I pasted the search URL I'd done rather than the thread but since I did say those other two were in addition, I'dve thought it was enough to make you have a second look in the news discussion pages.
