Simply that
does anyone know if apple mean all models to be released " late April".

I want a 3g one for my son. It's already a week after his birthday.

I would be seriously peeved to hear in a few days that the " late April" applied to wifi models only

All the rumours seem to point to a simultaneous release of all models in the UK, but it seems to be all speculation at the moment. Like you, I'm hoping for the 3G model at launch, so fingers & toes crossed.

Well it's not a rumour in the sense that Apple themselves said on their non-US websites that late April was for both models.

They also gave the impression during the keynote that USA and UK releases (along with the several other countries mentioned) would be simultaneous... that worked out good for us. I take the "late April" on their website with a huge pinch of salt. I get the impression that any UK release date (and quantity of product) is solely dependent on how many are sold in the USA at launch.

Wifi model I would say definatly end of April however if there isn't a launch partner for the 3g they will stall the release. I for one won't be getting a fixed contract based ipad. It needs to be the same deal the u.s lot got and it needs to be with o2 and definatly not orange as there fair usage 750mb a month for iPhone customers is a load of rubbish.

I don't necessarily agree that high demand in the US equals a delayed launch in other territories. An initial launch in the US will have stimulated a long-term demand for the iPad in the US and that interest can be sustained while they launch in other countries (from which of course they stand to make even more money when you add all the other territories up together).

I think of it a bit like spinning plates - Apple can set other plates spinning and then go back to the original plate and start that up again before it smashes on the floor!

Orange is rubbish. Full stop. Coverage, tarrifs, customer " service". The lot.

I love o2' s c/s it's just amazing. I have my calls answere by the same person each time. No stupid annoying " please press 1 for...".
Nothing would persuade me to change. My friend had voda. What a disaster.

I think that even apple don't know yet. As said it will depend on demand in
the USA as to when release will be here

I " assume" most people will want a wifi model. At least everyone I have spoken to does.
