Currently, the Apple online store says all of the new M3 MBPs are not available for in-store pickup. Does anyone know from experience if this is going to change tomorrow on launch day? If so, do you know what time this updates?

Also, similar to iPhone launches, is there a page for reservations that can then be picked up and paid for in-store (rather than paying online first)?

Any help would be appreciated!

When M1 Pro and Max MBPs launched there were various configurations available in-store on launch day. I know because I picked up an M1 Max 32GB/1TB on launch day. People who pre-orded online had to wait longer as their machines mostly shipped from China on launch day.

I have no idea if this will apply to the M3 launch, but there is certainly precedent for it.

Ok managed to get one reserved in store. Going going for the higher spec M3 Pro! I know people are complaining about it, but I do not need to do heavy lifting on it. It is insanely fast for my use.

The only people complaining are M2 Pro owners as they do not see it as much of an upgrade from what they have, yet they want that sexy space black colour. It’s as simple as that.

It's also the negative reviews, or negative connotations that it's a downgrade (in some respects) to the M2 Pro in terms of hardware. It may be, but no average user is going to be able to tell a single bit of difference lol.

How is it a downgrade? It outperforms the M2 Pro by 6%. Whether 6% is a small gain or not, it is nonetheless a gain. And thats with reduced cores!

Walked in and picked up a base spec MacBook Pro 14” (Belfast Apple Store Northern Ireland). Store not busy at all. I hadn’t preordered or reserved. In and out in 5 minutes.
