Got my i7 today. 2gb

Stupid thing has a dead pixel right in the middle of the screen so returning it. Starting to think it isn't worth the hassle of having. Returned two already....but try were to store and this is online. Anyone know how quick they replace them and do they do a collect and replace at the same time?

I rang up apple yesterday to replace mine at about 5pm, they sent in a new order for my replacement straight away with 3 days shipping time, then they inform TNT to phone you to arrange a collection date convenient for you.

You basically tell them when you got it, supply your address and serial number / order number, then you'll be redirected to some indian bloke who'll tell you how the system works and to confim your billing/delivery address.

Really quick and easy process, I just wish their quality control was as good as their customer service!

I had the exact same problem you have. It had one dead pixel right in the middle of the screen. I sent mine back monday morning and it arrived at noon today. I checked online and they say that they had received it. It did not say anything else.

An email they sent me says that it will ship out in 1-3 days and will arrive within the next 7 days. I hope I get it back soon.

This may help you...

However, I live in the U.S.

Also, it might be worth mentioning that this is the 3rd time you'll be returning one, and that your fed up with it. Who knows, they might send you an itunes card or a free ipod :)

Cheers. They said they are sending a new one out as priority not that I believe it. They tried to fob us off with the talk of dead pixels being normal on such large screens

I said fine in a corner put of view most of the time but this is right in the centre view so you see it all the time.

They have since sent us an email stating about LCD anomalies as if I was too stupid to know about them. I just feel if I spend £1900 I want something I'm happy with.

When I purchased my iMac after the late 2009 revision due to various issues I had cause to return it on three separate occasions for replacement, eventually settling on iMac number four. Each time they allowed me to keep hold of the iMac I had in hand until the replacement was delivered which I then arranged for collection within 10 days of receipt of the delivered replacement.
