UK Ripped off again

999.00 USD = 630.761 GBP not £850

I think this is outrageous how we have been ripped of again, i expect the "Apple tax" but that should take it to about £720 not £850

Remember that US price does not include sales tax while the UK price includes VAT. There is still some "Apple tax" but if you take out the real taxes, the difference ain't that huge

so your cost when its 723 GBP so when you translate that to u USD it is 1145 so your factoring in 1145 in apple tax and whatever else they think about

And a $999 product in most areas will be about $1075 or more with tax. So lease spare us the ritual British being ripped off saga.

I was expecting £999 for the base model, but at £721 with education discount, im now actually ordering one.

£ 720 (rough cost after VAT is deducted) = $1140

So about £90 more than in ought to be. But I think there are other taxes because apple is based outside the EU, so it's really not too bad.
