Here I am in the UK on yet another sunny, spring-like day!

My iMac continues to behave itself and I to enjoy using it though I still haven't mastered the flat keyboard. I bought a copy of The Missing Manual, Leopard Edition and am rereading it; some of the content is staying in my memory but I'll need another reread or two! I've also bought a copy of Office 2008 and, apart from one Word crash, am finding that easier than Office 2003 on Windows. Amazon will supply a copy of Photoshop Elements 6 for the Mac when that's released.

Though wireless worked well, I've connected my router to my Ethernet port and turned Airport off - a little less heat. I don't use Bluetooth at present; so, that's off, too. I bought a 500GB G-Drive Q and, once SuperDuper! 2.5 was released, made a complete backup of my system, which I refreshed before using Software Update to install 10.5.2, the graphic update, and a host of other things that Apple thought I should have. The update process (this morning) went smoothly and I have used the facility to have lists for my dock icons (where appropriate).

I'll have to check whether a Mail bug has been 'cured': Mail would fail to download e-mails on two of my three accounts. At present, I'm using Thunderbird. For browsing, I use Firefox, mainly because I can block adverts most of the time.

There it is, then! I'm happy that I've switched: OS X is more intuitive than Windows 3.0 to XP (I avoided Vista like the plague). I'm only sorry that I didn't switch years ago!

Glad it's working out for you :D

Hope it continues to be a joyous experience for you. You may hit a few snags but it's much better than windows will ever be.
