UK Users - NOW app - TV Integration broken

Hi all

Asking here as I dont know where else to ask...

AppleTV user in the UK with the NOW app (formerly NowTV). It was recently updated to a whole new version and look and feel.

However, ever since this update any content though the TV app only shows 'open in..' instead of automatically knowing and opening a show in the NOW app.
The NOW 'app and channel' still works and looks fine, as does content search in Siri - its just that last piece of the puzzle knowing to actually open the NOW app.

I was sure this was a bug, but weve had at least 1 or 2 further updates to the new NOW app and still broken.
I have tried restarting AppleTV. I have tried force closing the app. I have tried logging off and on again in the app. And, as a final thing deleted the app all together and re-downloaded it.

Nothing works.

its frustrating as its not showing new shows in my continue watching.

Any ideas?

From there scroll down further to How To Watch then select the NOW tab, it’ll then open to the episode (or movie)you’re on and continue from where you left off if part way through.

I know that bit.

But its so much more of a faff instead of 'knowing' its on NOW as it always used to up until this latest version.

All the other integration works, but critically if you are watching something and a new episode appears it will not populate on your continue watching list.

I am watching White Lotus, and forgot yesterday to watch the latest episode as it didnt appear - its only when I went into the NOW app itself that it showed as ready to watch.
Most annoying.

really? I checked last night about 7pm and there were no updates. did they release one later In the evening?

I updated around 10pm to app version 60.4.21

I really hope its been fixed - its a real pain not working correctly

Thank you. Seems 'open in' has gone and its back to how it should be.

A shame they let that through in the first place but at least it was fixed in a week or so.

A shame they let that through in the first place but at least it was fixed in a week or so.

Now all they need to do is fix HDR switching when set to SDR and make it so the app opens to the profile selection menu after not being used for a specific amount of time.
