UK: Warranty situation regarding selling MBP bought via HE discount?

I have a C2D MBP that I am thinking of selling. I am a University level student, and bought it thru my Uni network at the HE discounted price, I got the extra Applecare for £58. The machine is also registered in my name with apple.

What is the situation if I intend to sell the laptop? Would the buyer be covered for 3 years as well? How about the fact that the registration has been done under my name?

I'm afraid I don't have an answer, but I too would be very interested to hear from anyone who knows about this. I am in exactly the same situation (except I bought in an Apple Store, with student discount, and didn't pay for the extra two years...)
