I've been testing out a few solutions and few of them seem to offer the ability to use the latest x264 codec builds from http://www.x264.nl/. All I could find was this quicktime component, http://www003.upp.so-net.ne.jp/mycometg3/, that was a recent build and is presumably pulling from the latest x264's. Handbrake makes no mention of any of this. How can we get something like MeGUI on OS X? The real reason I'm so attached to MeGUI is twofold, it seems to use the latest and greatest codecs with ease and it is the preferred choice of the miniHD rippers out there who are producing some of the most fantastic results I've ever seen in files that are 400MB. I've seen many of their guides and can walk through a MeGUI encode, but I have no comparison in any OS X program.
What options do I have here? And if you really think handbrake can match MeGUI give me a reference advanced option string to test out. Thanks!
