Why not a 34-inch ultra-wide curved monitor for the iMac? Right now that is what I will be buying when Apple comes out with the M2 MacMini, and seems to be a popular choice out there. But, then again, doing so would reduce the sales of MacMini's.
 
IMO curved monitors are a fad and an expensive one. Also, imagine if Apple built something like that to their specs, they would want like $15K or Pro XDR levels of money for what would likely be a boring 60hz non-HDR display akin to the current Studio Display.

Pointless CapEx, very narrow niche outside of the gaudyness of the r/Gaming echo chamber.

PS: I own and principally use ultrawides
