Ultrawide 4k/5k display for 2019 MacBook Pro connection

I'd like to get an ultrawide curved monitor for my MacBook Pro. My MCP supports Thunderbolt 3 and obviously USB-C. When Looking for monitors a lot don't mention Thunderbolt 3, only USB-C. Would I need a Thunderbolt 3 supported display or is USB-C synonyms? Also, I've seen Thunderbolt 4 displays, will they work with my MBP?

Any recommendations on supported displays would be welcomed too. Thanks!
