When I lift up my Macbook, I hear a scratching noise. It sounds like it is the hard drive. The noise only occurs while I am picking up my Macbook. It also happens only when I pick it up or put it down fast. Is this a problem with something inside or is it just gravity acting on the hard drive?

Is the machine running? It could be the drop sensors coming into play with the drive. It's not a good idea to rapidly move your laptop when it's turned on and the drive is spinning.
