...or maybe it's just me?

For years now the OSX open/save dialog has had a mind of it's own. Never opens in the same place, always ends up 'growing' to take up the entire height of the screen even after adjusting it countless times.

I also use Default Folder X but get the same issues whether it's enabled or not.

Or maybe it's just me.....

The other great PITA for me that's NEVER been fixed is the finder column view....

I gave up trying to get Finder to remember it's last open location, size and settings. All the tips on the internet just flat out didn't work. I definitely don't see the large height save dialog box though.

Finder has needed a major workover since about Lion. It hasn't gotten one because we consumers are not supposed to worry our pretty little heads over things like file location. The OS is supposed to do all that for us.
