So I finally got my iPhone 3G to jailbreak using Blackrain RC3 (the other blackrains would not work for some reason). I installed Cydia and then used that to install Winterboard, SBSettings, OpenSSH, etc. I didn't do much with it as it was making my iPhone pretty damn slow. I decided I want to remove the jailbreak and just go back to a stock phone as I was content with what Apple has given me. I didn't uninstall any of the apps from Cydia and just plugged into iTunes and did a Restore, No backup, then set up as new phone. It looked like it reinstalled 3.1.2 and the new carrier setting not included in 3.1.2. Phone turned on like normal and all my Appstore apps are loaded. No settings saved and no in app downloads saved (figured that would be the case).

Is my phone free of all jailbreak residue incase I need to visit a Genius? Will doing a "Delete All Content and Settings" then restoring do anything? What about restoring from DFU mode?

I have done some searching on this site as well as Google and found alot about it but some aren't as clear cut so I thought I would throw it out there and see if anyone knows for sure. TIA!

If you did a restore to official Apple IPSW and chose set up as new, then any traces of JB are gone.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the help. I was going to do a DFU restore tonight after work. It was fun while it lasted but I just had no use for it. Take care!
