I've got a friend's macbook here, and it won't boot or do anything. Unable to get into target disk mode, boot off CD, trying to select a partition shows up nothing, tried resetting PRAM and SMC, nothing.

Any ideas? I'm stumped. Currently she doesn't have the power cable with her but another friend is coming with it but that's not it because it happened with 3 LEDs of battery left.

EDIT: This is after she tried to load windows after installing Boot Camp.

Put in CD and held down Opt, I can see the CD but it just hangs there, like the arrow responds when I click, but doesn't actually boot it.

I think perhaps its corrupt firmware. You can get a firmware restore cd from Apple's support section on their website. Also you could try re-seating the RAM. Infact I would do that first.

Nope. I took out the hard drive and it booted the CD fine... put it back in and the same thing happens :/
