It’s up now. You can always check https://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/ to find out if an Apple service has an issue.
I wouldn’t pick one of those up right now. The Apple Watch 7 is supposed to run rings around it while providing a telepathic link to Siri, so she can mangle your requests at the speed of thought.
I had a good one today. For context, 'headphones' is the name of my airtag attached to my airpods pro case.
"Hey siri, find my headphones"
"Which headphones would you like me to find: headphones, NAME's Airpods Pro, NAME's Powerbeats Pro or NAME's Airpods?"
"Headphones" (notice how that was the first option).
"Which headphones would you like me to find: headphones, NAME's Airpods Pro, NAME's Powerbeats Pro or NAME's Airpods?"
"Headphones"

I have just been informed that Samsung hackers were responsible for the brief inability to buy more Apple products. Parents went to the basement and saw what was going on, pulled the plug, and everything went back to normal for Apple.
wouldn’t be so sure. Apple does say that the dimming is controlled by algorithms running on the M1.
