Is anyone else having problems copying PDFs into Books in IOS 13?

In IOS 12 I used to click share and then click the ‘Copy to Books’ button and voila the PDF was copied into the Books app

Now if I try to copy from either Safari or Files my only option is to ‘Open in Books’. The PDF is opened in Books but is not actually stored there, so if you close the app you lose the PDF.

I have clicked the 3 dots button and checked all the options but to no avail.

Cheers

Nobby

Which three dots? In Books or under the share sheet?

Share sheet, I'm seeing the "Copy to Books" under the three dots there. And working as previously.

Wonder if the PDF(s) you are looking at have the proper .pdf extension (seen where websites that fetch/generate a PDF [eg. a bill for something], the extension might be something other than .pdf)?

I tried the share sheet but there was only ever ’open in books’. I think it may be because it was a True PDF file as I have now downloaded another regular PDF off the net and it worked...

Deffo a bizarre situation.

i just tested and it works for me, you have to use the “copy to ibooks” Option in the share sheet. If you don’t see it initially, scroll to the far right of the share sheet and click “more”. Once you click that, you have more options to change or add to the share sheet. click the plus sign next to “copy to iBooks” which will add it to the share sheet. With the PDF open, choose “copy to iBooks” which opens it and then it will save it to iBooks. Works fine for me in 13.1

I’ve just signed up here to ask this exact question. I too don’t have Copy to Books in the share menu - I‘ve got a few PDF magazines I wanted to copy in to books without having to open each one and then copying to books.

Is there any fix for this or is this just how it is?
