I wish to create an image of Britanna DVD, but want to create an image of it in Disk Utility.

However, Mac cannot read it.

This is want i get: (although its listed in Terminal)

There is no volume name in DU... it just appears as "--" but works perfectly fine in windows..

There are a few hidden folders .(directory) in the root of the disc when u browser with Windows, perhaps Apple is getting confused by this ?

I doubt it... this is not the original disc.. I'm tempted to copy the disc, but leave out the ". (directories)" just to see if that makes a difference weather Mac could mount it.

Update: I decided to use Windows (VMWare Fusion) to copy disc to folder and share that to Mac..

Turns out it IS a hybrid disc, as Britannica 2010 as a install.app. Still makes me wonder why it wouldn't mount only on Mac.

If it was copy protection, wouldn't it also affect copying on windows as well?
