in mavericks (and mountain lion, lion, snow leopard, leopard, etc.) i could click the wi-fi icon in the menu bar & select 'create wi-fi network' (or something similar).
in yosemite, i only see 'join other network' or 'open network preferences'.
is anyone else seeing this issue?

this is all i see now.
in mavericks, i used to see 'create wi-fi network' (or something similar anyway) between 'join' & 'open preferences'.

is this working for anyone else or is this just a missing function of DP1?

This you're looking for?

System Preferences > Network > Wifi > Advanced > Tab [Wi-Fi] "Prefered Networks" > Hit [+]

not quite.
the option i'm talking about is what you would use if you were to create an ad-hoc network from your mac.

I've also noticed that this is missing, not sure why they would remove this feature though:confused: I'm sure that it will be back in a later DP
