Doing some software update on my 2011 MacBook Pro, it failed. However, it can not enter into those modes like recovery mood (command +R), booting picks (Option key), or pram reset, after software update, etc. it just simply go to regulate boot up instead. Any thoughts what could be wrong here? And how to fix it? Thanks.

What SIZE is the 2011 MacBook Pro?
Is it 13" ?
Or... is it 15" or 17" ?

If 15" or 17", could it be a GPU problem related to "RadeonGate" ??

It is the 13” model, Intel onboard GPU only.

Can you boot to INTERNET recovery?
(this is NOT THE SAME AS "the recovery partition")

Try:
Command-OPTION-R
at boot

... and tell us if it works.

Will try it once home tonight. By the way, what conclusion it will be if it works or not works on that?

Just tried it, no luck on that internet recovery mode, it just simply boot it up. But I am able to open the "keyboard viewer" and confirm that all keys on keyboard are functioning. Any more thoughts?

Do you have a WIRED USB keyboard around?
Try plugging that in, and running through the various startup "key combos" with it...

Yes, tried it before with the Apple wired keyboard, and the same problem.
