hello!! so i've had this t5 ssd for a while now and it used to work on my old 2015 macbook pro but since i bought my m1 2020 mac mini, i've never been able to get this t5 ssd to work. now i need some files from it and i'm gonna trying to make it work after 3 years but i'm still running into the same issues.

i've tried everything that has been recommended in this thread https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...-compatible-with-macos-monterey-help.2329885/ but i'm still receiving the "no samsung portable ssd is connected" notification.

i'm at my wits' end with this thing and would love to move my files so i don't have to deal with it anymore.

i'm currently running on sonoma 14.0

Hello, may i suggest you find someone with an older macos that can help you? you would think a samsunf t5 will still work on sonoma, unless its formatted for hfs or something other than apfs

That thread starts off by talking about installing a driver for the T5. This is completely unnecessary. Did you install some Samsung driver on your old Mac?

Let's try to discover what is on the T5. With the T5 physically connected, in Terminal run the command diskutil list. What does the output show?
