Ok, I'm probably doin something realllly stupid now, but I have Muse's latest albume - Absolution, and there are a few tracks I'd like to join. Noteably, the first track is just 21 seconds of marching that fades into the first song. Sounds cool, but when you're listening to the AACs or MP3s there's the obvious break...

So I erased what I already had, dug out the original CD and put it in. Then I went to the CD dialog in iTunes and selected tracks 1&2. Went to advanced, and the Join CD Tracks option is greyed out...! Tried selecting one track at a time, still grey... What am I doing wrong?!

You got further than me, I just googled "iTunes joint track" because MattG posted something about it, but I couldn't find it in iTunes help and want to merge ~30 tracks on an Evgeny Kissin CD. Thanks for the start... Any body with real help, I'd like to know more.

I have the same problem with the CD. I tried with the MP3 files and with the CD. The join track option is always grey.
