I have the 9.3 public beta and want to lock a note. Instructions I've seen say to first tap "Share" in the upper right-hand corner of the note and then tap on the lock function. On my 6+, "Share" is not in the upper right-hand corner, but on the bottom with trash and write. In addition, despite setting up a password and one-touch in the Notes section of settings, no lock option appears in "Share."

Does anyone have any ideas?

What am I doing wrong?

Can you attach a screenshot of your Notes setup? Specifically, this part:

[doublepost=1453400511][/doublepost]I understand now, It works in the "On My iPhone" folder, but not on the "Gmail" folder.

It defaults to the Gmail folder though. Is there a way to set the default? I didn't see it in the Notes Settings.

Go back one page and screenshot where it says 'Folders'. You can only use the lock option on either iCloud notes, or notes 'on this iPhone'. Notes synced with GMail for example, you won't be able to lock. If you create a new note under the iCloud folder, you should see a completely different set of options than you see now.

Is there a way to change the default from 'Gmail?"

There is no place, that I can see, in settings>notes, to set a default. I have looked repeatedly. I have been known to be blind, though. Can you be more specific?

There's a default account list where that's usually set, although now it seems to refer to Siri in particular. I have it set there and it seems to default to that account whether or not I'm using Siri.

Under Settings>Notes

I sync to GMail, and with the option to now password protect notes, I've moved notes with sensitive info from GMail into iCloud from within the Notes app, and then put a password on them. Unfortunately it's individual passwords - no way to just put a password on an entire folder or list of notes at this time...just one at a time. You just have to create a note under the iCloud folder which I screenshot above.
