I just started using a pre-M1 2020 MacBook Air. even though I have imported the settings from my old MacBook Pro using Migration Assistant. the MacBook Air functions differently from its predecessor in that while the MBP logged me in automatically (as I preferred), the newer laptop always logs me out when I restart, so that I have to use my password to get in.
even though I have disabled FireVault (as a tutorial suggested that I do). I really can't figure out why I have this problem, especially as I made the MacBook Air a "trusted device" and currently have no other "trusted devices". (once I'd migrated, I wiped out the old MBP's memory, after disabling its access to my iCloud account.)
although I suspect this has something to do with my current iCloud settings, I can't figure out which iCloud setting.
help?!
