Recently moved music to a external HD to connect to NUC server. I tried mounting to my Mac and it won't show. The I try to perform first aid on it I get the follow error messages: Any Help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes! It is one frustrating issue with mac OS when dealing with external hard drives.

Try below mentioned remedies:

  • If using a hub, try plugging into the Mac directly
  • Check your USB connections for a snug fit or frayed cables, missing pins
  • Connect the USB device to its own power source, if possible
  • Update Finder Preferences to show external drives
  • Perform an SMC & NVRAM reset
  • Run Disk Utility to Mount, Verify, or Repair Drives
  • Use Terminal Commands diskutil list, diskutil info disk, & diskutil eject disk
In my case, mostly SMC and NVRAM reset works.

and in future, try not to remove external hdd without ejecting, also don't ever let your macbook sleeps while external hdd is plugged in.

Where was the drive formatted, on the Mac or on the NUC? What filesystem was used?

Thanks. So are you suggesting I reset the SNC & NVRAM on my iMac While the drive is attached nut not mounted?
