Unable to move messages error

Hi all. I'm getting the Unable to move messages error when I hit trash all on the mail app.

Now before you point me to one of those guides that says to make sure deleted mail is set to trash like they say in the umpteen guides on the Web, I've done that. Under Move Discarded Messages Into::, I have Deleted Mailbox checked, like the guides say to do.

So, any other ideas?

Have you perhaps tried doing this using a computer and perhaps either a desktop mail client or the web version of the mail service you are using? Assuming this is something you don't need to do all the time for some reason, might be with just doing that way once (one in a rare while) than trying to do it on the phone.

What I mentioned was a workaround that would be helpful if this was something that you only needed to do once in a while. If it's something you need to use on a consistent basis, as I mentioned, that might be a bit different. That said, perhaps there's some weird stuck message that is getting in the way of doing it on our device, but will work on the web version of the mail account you are using, after which things will start working fine again. If it's something that continues to happen all the time, then perhaps removing and reading the email account might do the trick.
