Unable to open iWork documents from mail

Hi all. Was using a demo unit today at apple store, and could preview all 3 iWork document types within mail, but they wouldn't open in their respective apps from mail. We reset the iPad but no dice.
Anyone have this problem on their consumer models, or any trouble opening outside docs? Didn't find anything on searching the forums.

Did you press and hold the docUment icon? That should give you the choice to preview or open in iWork. Just clicking opens in preview.

We did the press/hold, and launching with iWork was unresponsive.
Also in preview we tried the launch in iWork in the upper right, and that was also unresponsive.

By your knowledge of press/hold, are you indicating that attachments open in iWork just fine in consumer 3.2?
