I am trying to redeem some gift cards on my wife's PC. When We click the redeem button we get an error "We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (-1202)."

This PC is running Windows XP Service Pack 2 with iTunes 10.1.1. I have checked the hosts file and Windows Firewall. I can get everywhere else in the iTunes store.

Additionally, I can redeem gift cards on my MacBook Pro which is on the same network.

Someone please help, she is killing me. :D

Not a long term solution, but you could have her log in on your computer and redeem them there, then buy on her computer again.

She has for some of the gift cards.

The problem is the monitor on her computer broke 3 weeks ago and I just got around to replacing it tonight and I want her off my computer.

I'm not sure if this is what fixed the problem but it seems to be working now.

I went onto my computer this morning and found that my anti-virus was out of date so I started the update process. It then told me my date was wrong. Somehow my PC had a date of February 10th 2011. I changed the date to today and I was able to get into the redemption process.
