I have a 20gb Vista partition that I want to get rid of. I go to Boot Camp Assistant, hit restore to single partition, it asks me for my password, tells me I'll need to restart, I hit the restart button, computer shuts down and comes back up, but Vista partition is still there, like nothing happened.

Any suggestions?

EEk! I've had that happen to me as well! But I can't remember if I was forced to reinstall os x or all I had to do was pop in the install disk then boot from it and then go to disk utility and repair disk.

I had to reinstall OSX when this happened to me with XP sorry. For now try repairing disk permissions (Disk Utility -> Your HD) :)
