Resolved Unable to send email with Mail, how can I fix this?

I'm a bit of a technophobe but recently my Mail app on my Macbook has stopped letting me send email.

I receive email just fine but when I reply and send I get this:

It's Outlook that I use, but I don't even know where to start with troubleshooting, can anyone help?

hit the connection doctor button and see what it says. my money is on an authentication error, i.e. a password change that needs to be updated in your mail client. You would go Mail > Preferences > Accounts and click on your outlook.com account, then the Server settings tab. Make sure your password is correct, paying attention to the Outgoing Settings (SMTP) in particular. Post a screen shot if you can.
