Unable to send/receive texts when in group with non-iphone?

recently upgraded my wife from XR to 14 Pro Max, ever since that day, she has been unable to receive or send texts in groups, when there is a non-iPhone (presumably Android) user. She can send/receive group texts when all iPhone, and what's weird, is she can text 1:1 with Android users, the only issue is groups w/ Android users. I know the SMS vs MMS thing, I've tried everything, but what's throwing me off is how she can text direct with Android users. Seems like most issues are MMS not working, not the case here. any ideas? I'd contact VZW or Apple, but I imagine they are slammed right now so hoping to resolve on my own...thanks!

I have this issue.. with an XR, but mine seems tied to when I use wifi-calling, and maybe AT&T. On cellular, it’s generally fine, other than going green-bubble SMS.

I have this same problem with iPhone 14 pro max, iOS 16.2. I’ve enabled MMS, SMS, group texts and rebooted multiple times. I’m at a loss as I use my phone for both personal and business.

I will be following this thread. My wife has a 14 Pro Max and cannot receive texts from non-Apple users and group texts that include non-Apple users. Carrier is Verizon and the problem is still not fixed by them. We will be going back in a few days.

update: Verizon eventually fixed on their end, not sure what they did but all is working now

Still not fixed here. We plan on going back to Verizon soon.
