When I try to sync my ical with mobile me I get an error stating: Calendars could not be synced due to inconsistent data, confirm that your computer's data is valid, then reset calendars on mobileme in system preferences. Any suggestions on what I can do to correct this. My iphone and mobileme are syncing fine with calendar.

Hmmm, I haven't received that "error" message yet..

I just added an iCal event, synced and it popped up onto MM in about 2mins..

That's an odd one. Do you have multiple calendars? you can try syncing another calendar and see if it works. If you're usuing only one calendar try recreating that particular calendar on your iCal and then resync and see if that helps..

I have been able to sync the MM calendar with my iPhone calendar but it seems my iCal on my iMac is not getting the updates. I know it's not "pushed" like MM to iphone but it has been days and I still don't see the events in iCal.

You may want to try going into system preferences > mobile me and doing a manual sync for iCal..

Many times when I have iCal or Contact issues, if I go in and do a manual sync, 8/10 times that gets everything synced back up..

MobileMe finally now working...here's what I did

I have no idea, but this is what I did, and I finally got my MobileMe to work after two weeks. I went ahead and deleted my account from my iPhone. When I reconfigured it, i used all lower case letters. For example, I originally had MobileMe@mac.com, but when I put mobileme@mac.com as my address, everything synced (mobileme@mac.com is not my real email address). I have no idea why it worked, but it did. It may be worth a try.

Hope this helped.

Try doing this over 3G also. I was using 3G when I first setup my account. This may make or may not make a difference.

I don't have an iPhone or Touch. My Addy Book still doesn't sync with MM, except for one exception; every time I try, one new contact shows up religiously in my Address Book.....Apple Inc.!!

@Sharyn:

ok, your post is from 2008, but for the future I have an easy solution for you. For me, I have created an Automator-Prog to automate the things to clean the Mac - and it works fine.

Here you can find the description and the Automator-Prog for downloading.
