Before the latest update I was not able to update Apps on iMac. They show as needing an update but then freeze when you click on the update icon. I hoped latest Big Sur update would correct this. It has not. I have tried logging out of Apple account and back in. Still the same. Any advice?

This is a known issue with Mojave after latest security update, so may also be present in Catalina/Big Sur.
