Unable to Update Successfully

So, there's really something odd going on here. I've been trying to update my ATV3 to the latest ATV software and every single time it says it wasn't successful. I've unplugged it, restarted it, etc many times but still nada. What gives?

Also, when I "restart" by pulling the rear power cord then back in, there are times when I get no picture. I'm assuming that no signal is being sent through the HDMI or it's not starting up? But, I usually have to do this several times until it finally works. I only do this "restart" when I experience issues that I think a restart would fix.

Other than that, everything else works. Software? Hardware? POS?

Ah, I never knew this method existed. I hoped it would but never knew how to access it. I always wondered what that micro USB port was for. Anyway, I was able to successfully restore/update but not sure yet if I fixed the other issue since it was sporadic. Thanks!
