So my wife bought a brand new iPhone 14 Pro. She had an iPhone 11. She had the phone at iOS 16.0.2. She wiped the phone clean and reset it as a new and gave it to me after she got her new phone. The battery life was right around 80% so I took it to a store and they put a new battery in. It was not an apple battery so I do get that warning in my settings saying it’s unable to Determine battery health. My issue is that no matter what I do I cannot update the iOS from iOS 16.0.2. It will download the new iOS however I get an error message saying unable to verify update you are no longer connected to the Internet even though I am. I have tried pretty much everything that I can find online and have also spoken with Apple to try and see what the issue may be. When I connect to iTunes it recognizes the phone but when I attempt to download the newest iOS for the phone nothing happens. Apple says it will cost about $430 for them to potentially repair it if there’s a hardware issue. My question is, are there any tricks or anything that anyone could suggest? I have tried setting up the phone as new. I have tried resetting all the networks settings. I have deleted the download of the iOS that won’t install. I have connected it to iTunes and that does not work. Pretty much everything I can find online. Beyond this issue the phone works and functions perfectly. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated thank you.

If the phone updated and worked properly before the battery was replaced I'd say the 3rd party repair facility damaged something when they replaced the battery.. If that's the case, I doubt you have many options besides trying to get the people who installed the battery to figure out and fix the issue..

I was able to get it updated. I had to re download/update my iTunes on my PC and load it that way. My iTunes had no option for an update so I first had to update my Windows 10 then my iTunes.

Yeah if you want to use newer iPhones and software, the supporting computer has to stay current too
