unable to view photos in email

problem with my gmail account when someone sends me photos I am unable to view them on my iphone, but in mail on my mac and gmail on the web I can see them no problem??

Open it up on the web and check the file type. I've gotten that display before when trying to display unsupported images types. I've never got it over email before but maybe I've always had valid image types over email

there jpg's sent from iphoto, both from my mums mac and mine??

I've had this happen on my iPhone that syncs with my office Exchange account. Only happens once in a while, and it seems to occur when the data connection is interrupted while the message is being downloaded. Mail doesn't know well enough to retry the download. A force-quit of Mail or phone reboot always does the trick for me.

the first thing I know you should do and I didnt do it.
