So I've been having trouble with my Airpods Pro (1st Gen). Recently they've been offsetting the audio balance every time pause whatever is playing(Normally youtube or music of some sort). It's super weird and I can't seem to find any way to fix it. They've been working fine for the past year, and I don't understand why they are having trouble now. I use mono audio and am on an iPhone 11 pro. The iOS is on the most recent version and the Airpods are also updated to the most recent firmware.

It's not really a big problem, it's just majorly annoying.

*Update*

It also seems to affect spatial audio too, but it's a little harder to recognize. I'm going to try resetting my watch to see if there is conflict there. I also will probably reset my Phone too just to make sure I get rid of anything that may be causing the issue.

Anybody else experience this issue??

*Update*

This started happening after the 5B58 update...
Maybe someone made a mistake somewhere and that's why it isn't working? Idk, but it's seriously annoying...

I have! It didn't work.

I have also figured out that closing the app and reopening the app fixes it, so it may be something to do with the app audio format or something

I'm also experiencing this, but only on one pair of my APPs. Both pairs are on 5B58. What I've been doing is taking them out of my ears and then placing them back and that will usually re-balance the audio for me. Only once has it taken several times, taking them out and placing them back in, until the audio became re-balanced.

It is really annoying as you state.

Good to know it's not just a me problem. I too have tried everything. Resetting the earbuds, messing with all the audio settings, and even letting the battery on the earbuds and case fully run out. Nothing works. Taking both out and putting them back in does fix it, except when not connected to an apple device. It is definitely something with the earbuds. When did you start noticing the issue? Mine started to do it a couple of days after the 5B58 update, so there may be some correlation there... But what's weird is that it isn't affecting all earbuds. I have a friend that has a pair that work fine...

I'd say it started right after they updated most recently, at least that's when I first noticed it. Like I said too, I have 2 pairs of the Pros and it only happens with one of them, both on the latest 5B58. Definitely weird. Hopefully the next update straightens this all out.

I'm thinking it's something with the update. It's just weird that it's not affecting all airpods. At least you have a working pair! I hope they fix it too!

Mine also had this issue twice.
iPhone 11 Pro and AirPods Pro Gen1 on this latest FW “fixing” audio drift in AirPods Pro Gen2 (how the irony)

I’m having the same issue and my current solution is the same as joggys, taking them out and placing them back. I also noticed that putting both at the same time seems to work, but it’s still annoying. Hope we find a good solution

I'm having this issue as well. I've found that taking both pods out of my ears and putting them back can often resolve it, but sometimes it takes a couple of tries. It's very frustrating, so I hope they'll issue another firmware update to fix it.

My APP1s are on 5B58 and I am finding that music sometimes starts playing in one ear only. Can be either the left or the right. Removing and replacing the non-working one eventually causes the problem to right itself. Is that what we are talking about here?

Not particular, I think, but I have this issue too and I think that this issue may be linked tohether.
Most my issues was that one of the pods (in my case always left) has more sound balance (or even work as stereo to mono version, I guess) then the other one.
But sometimes one of them indeed doesn't linking at all, like when it at 0% battery and I must place again it in the case.

just registered to post here that i am having the same issue, and the workaround with putting airpods out and placing them in again solves the issue temporary.

the issue happens when i am putting one earpod out to listen to something and re-placing it back in. and also it started recently (probably after 5B58), but currently i am on 5B59 but the issue is still there.

Same issue here with my gen2 AP’s - on 5B58 as well and I experience this a lot with my ATV as well…

At first glance it seems to be finally fixed with the recent 5E133 firmware.
I was easily able to replicate the issue before and now after a dozen tries it's still stable at center.

I was hoping for the same and on the first few listens that was the case, but now after a week or so on the 5E133 update both pairs of my APP are unbalanced again. I have no idea why initially they were balanced, but they're back to being unbalanced most of the time.

I was also hoping for a fix, but now my APP1 will only play in mono on my MacBook Pro in addition to the weird balance issues. What's going on?

Yeah, sometimes lean to one side (not that often for me though).
At least quick fix still works (switch audio output to phone and back to airpods).

This is still an issue for me on firmware 5E135. It is disappointing that they have released 3 versions since introducing this bug and it is still and issue.

I have submitted 2 feedback tickets over the past few months and each time they say they can’t diagnose, but doesn’t ask for additional information.

I’ve had this issue for a long time now with mine APP gen 1’s. I’ve just lost hope that they would fix it and have gotten used to the work around of selecting the iPhone speaker then back to the air pods or taking them out and putting them back in. Also my transparency crapped out on my right side after less than 1 year on my replacements. Not real happy. I wonder if the gen 2 are better? I do use them a lot. I run 3-4 times a week and sweat a lot but I still expected them to hold up better than they have. The microphones sound terrible also while on a call cutting in and out sounding like I’m underwater. Or Siri calling people when I’m asking her to set the volume to a certain %.
