Apple told The Verge that some 2018 iPad Pro models are indeed shipping with a "very slight bend in the aluminum chassis," which is a "side effect of the manufacturing process" that is not expected to worsen over time or negatively effect the iPad's performance "in any practical way."

I am wondering who dare to say this, Tim Crook?

i wonder if this is a result of trying to use a certain amount of recycled materials in building of new products.
its a very odd way to allow manufacturing to occur, to this bended state.
they for sure identified this characteristic from the very early stages of working with the materials decided on.
IF the photo that accompanied this article is a real photo indicating typical upper limits of the problem, then its clearly an unacceptable decision relating to materials used.

Steve said your holding your iPhone wrong during the antennae-gate fiasco.

So it’s 50/50 chance he would either support this bs explanation or fire half of the iPad team.

Urban legend. During keynote he explained that every other manufacturer have similar problem, if you grab phone with your whole hand (which is/was fact and Apple did researched it with most popular phones during that day). He also said, that there was software bug, which was removed in next iOS update. In statistics, iPhone 4 had lower antena problem ratio than iPhone 3GS (also shown during keynote).

In the end - everyone who had this signal strength problem, was able to return phone. Everyone who decided to keep it, would got free bumper.

Seriously, what else Jobs could do? Don't want it - ok, here is your money. You want to keep it - ok, here is your case for iPhone, keep in mind we did solved software issue and remember that every other phone hold in wrong way, may cause such problem.

This is not same situation at all. Here if you have bent iPad, you can return it only in first 14 days. What if I bough it for Christmas gift, two weeks ago, cause I don't want to buy in last second? Should I open the present, cause, for Apple new device could be bent out of the box?

The return period should have extended to January if I don't remember it wrong.

It's already much better than us who live in Hong Kong. We have no return window. Consumer law sucks here.
